This collection called Inner Core was created in response to the deep inner healing work that was done during the 2020 global pandemic. The onsite installation was set up where most of the recovery work & healing took place. Counting days in insolation, days of sobriety and now years— the work speaks to the permanence, impermanence, stability and instability, distance and intimacy we all experienced during lock down. For some the pandemic allowed for a cocoon of solitude to address their inner demons and a more sustainable pace of life. The human spirit is often bolstered by crisis and pressure, but its growth invisible. This work makes visible the textured, thick, substantial and very real stability that was required of us all to pass through the waters of trauma, plague and isolation.
